The eastern side of
Hastings street within
Greater Vancouver which runs parallel to the
Burrard Inlet.
East Hastings is most famous for being possibly the dirtiest place in
Vancouver, if not all of
Canada. It's frequently the target of many
inside jokes among British Columbians, such as "
Your momma works on East Hastings". Prostitution, drugs, drunks, and
scum are what occupy
East Hastings, all part of the Vancouver
downtown eastside.
