A character from one of Kurt Vonnegut's short stories. At first just a thing the size of a room built from vacuum tubes. Must've had one heck of a programmer, because it ended up writing poetry for its lovestruck operator and burned itself out trying to find out why it couldn't be human. That's kind of a lame nutshell review, but it's really a sweet story.
