Having arrived safely at the airport, we were waiting at the baggage claim for our checked luggage. Monks in yellow robes with red trim circulated through the crowd, passing out pamphlets.

The conveyor belt started moving, making us hope that we would see our luggage soon. Instead, we saw that one of the monks was standing in the center of the baggage carousel and hurling Pokeballs down onto the conveyor belt and into the crowd.

"Pick Pikachu!" he shouted, when he noticed me watching him. "He's your bodhisattva!"

And that's when we realized that they were Pokemon Buddhists.
