Usually I don't bother with remembering my dreams, but for some reason I dreamt I was in the Arctic Ocean. I was swimming underwater, trying to get away from some helicopter that thought it would be fun to put some large lead slugs into me. Then I froze to death.

Secretly, I think it was just because my air conditioner was set too high.

  • Back in middle school. At lunch I was barefoot and possibly missing my pants. I went to the office to find the books I'd lost. They had a whole stack of abandoned notebooks, filled up by potentially interesting people, that I wanted to steal, but I had too much to carry as it was. I'd come back and steal them later. On the breezeway, Laurence Coppedge walked behind me, huge as ever. I was afraid to talk to him.
  • Sometimes I was the girl who jumped in the mud, and sometimes I was just watching her. It started when I made him stay out in the rain with me, and then I realized how much I loved mud. Why was everyone afraid of it? I sat in the mud ditch and watched people hurry past. I found a deeper ditch and sat there, mud up to my neck. Jimmy was the only one who understood, and thank God he'd grown old enough to be legal because I had such a crush on him, but he never knew.

Jimmy sat with me in the mud and fought off the assholes who made fun. He came up behind me and put his arm around my neck.

It was Jimmy who came up with the game of mudracing, using just our bodies. In deep enough mud it was like we were swimming, we became buoyant. One of us stood with knees locked, and the other ran behind, pushing. We propelled each other down the long hallways, four feet deep in beautiful smooth pudding-like mud. We never did get it on our faces. We danced into the bathroom to clean up, then got filthy all over again.

Later, we helped carry containers from one end of the cafeteria to the other, with a long train of silver serving carts linked together. I heard something awful on the radio and shushed everyone. They were talking about how they expected it to be a peaceful holiday, and I realized it was April 1, and I was back in time, which meant this was Pearl Harbor Day, and I wanted to warn everyone what was going to happen but I knew I couldn't, but just then the radio exploded into bad news and Jimmy was instantly at my side, hand on my hair.

I'm in a room with various people, mostly female (I'm one of only three males), all sitting down on the floor. an extremely attractive girl is sitting next to me, and constantly flirts with me. after some time of this, she gets up and goes somewhere out of sight. when she returns she sits down next to one of the other two guys (who were apparently both very desirable, although I don't remember what they looked like) and repeats the same behavior with him. while all of this is happening, some unseen figure is lecturing about something or other. the lecture is apparently boring, because no one is really listening, including me. while all of this is going on, the people sitting nearest me do various strange things, and two of them are kicked out because of their behavior.

I had other dreams, but this is the only one I can remember...

I had just bought myself a new YZF R6(a rather sporty and very fast road bike) and told my friend Paul about it. He was really excited and came over with his Dad's Ducatti. We were riding on some road and my bike kept giving me problems. Paul told me all the things I should check but I couldn't find any of them. He was getting annoyed at me and then checked for himself and realized that I had been ripped off. When I looked at the bike I couldn't believe I hadn't noticed. It was all rusted up and was leaking all kinds of fluids. We had somehow ended up in my ex-girlfriends driveway talking to her dad about it. He kept saying I should have shopped around before buying, and I kept trying to explain to him that, I did and, this one was the best deal. We got into a huge argument somehow and I ended up having to walk home cause Paul had already left and Larry(ex's Dad) wasn't going to give me a ride. I left the bike there and woke up after tripping during the walk.

I dreamed this my senior year in highschool when I was going to be the last to leave the family for college and my dad had recently died. This was also back in the days when Russia and the U.S. were not getting along too well.
I dreamed I was going to the Olympics as a gymnast and the Olympics were being held, of all places, in the fieldhouse of a little park behind our house. In the dream I was aware that Russia had inflicted some odd type of warfare on us and my mother had warned, as I was still on my way to the Olympics, that I would not be affected by this invisible and most unusual force as long as I did not fall down. I then realized, somehow, that I would feel much like a bottom-heavy punching bag that little boys used to have as toys, and the idea was that I could tip over almost all the way and still be safe. Then my plans changed when I got outside of my house and my family was suddenly gathered outside, trying to get up into a Goodyear blimp. There was a very long red carpet stretched from the blimp to the ground and everyone was walking up it...everyone except my aunt who insisted on my help to get her Buick up the carpet. God know why! So we got in it and each of us stuck a foot out on either side of the car, and we "Flinstoned" it all the way up into the sky. When we got to the top and were about to get into the Goodyear Blimp, my aunt suddenly lost interest in her car when she seemed to see some man that interested her. (Odd, because my aunt was a spinster.)
So she got out of the car and, so did I, and the car rolled expertly in reverse straight back down the carpet unharmed.
Then we entered the Goodyear Blimp and there were many people including my family, including some relatives who had died, including my father. I was told it was necessary that we all dance and keep dancing or the blimp would spin upside down and we'd all die. Then I woke up. And that, to this day, many years later, it the weirdest dream I've ever had.
