Text from a
hot pink flyer pasted to mailboxes and telephone poles, found in downtown
Toronto in the
summer of 2004:
Sexually Satisfied?
Is his idea of
foreplay watching sports and drinking
beer while you get ready for bed? Does he
orgasm just as you are getting warmed up? Does he expect
oral sex without giving it? Is he a
silent and uninspiring lover? When was the last time he told you how
sexy you look? Does he notice your new
hairstyle or
makeup? Why settle for him when you can have:

Canadian men suppress their natural sexuality because the media tells them that being assertive or "
macho" is equal to being abusive. Straight men are told to be "
sensitive" in a "
gay" way. Sadly, many women quietly accept this reality, turning to
masturbation to maintain their
sanity - but there are alternatives:

European men are more turned on by giving pleasure than their own selfish needs. Both single and married women have "lovers" who are trusted companions and gifted sexual partners. Why accept what society dictates? Life is too short:

If you are an attractive, intelligent woman, then let me be your
First REAL Lover. I am a tall, handsome European man in my 30's. I am open-minded, experienced, and secure in my masculinity. I will
safely and discreetly fulfill all your fantasies. I will do
anything to please you. Don't be shy if you are inexperienced, since I am a
patient, gentle teacher:

Since this is getting a bad rep, let me comment... this kind of thing is all-too common - one sees all manner of transient communication posted by individuals in
public spaces offering a wide variety of shady services. I posted this up here word-for-word with all formatting intact, including the irritating repetition of the email address (potential for amusing
mayhem here). Dimitri lives - and he thinks that he can pick up unsatisfied married women waiting for
transit with this
tacky sales pitch. A patient, gentle teacher who advertises on utility boxes and in bus shelters -
how romantic! I wonder about the sad tales that have been sent to that particular
hotmail box...
