Deu`ter*o*zo"oid (?), n. [Gr. second + E. zooid.] Zool.

One of the secondary, and usually sexual, zooids produced by budding or fission from the primary zooids, in animals having alternate generations. In the tapeworms, the joints are deuterozooids.
