A wonderful, delicious style of pizza crust in which the bready base of the pizza is quite thick. It is usually made and served in a heavy metal pan. The Pizzaria Uno in Chicago, Illinois, makes the best deep dish pizza. My local pizza chain here in Michigan, Cottage Inn, does a pretty good job too; they use a large rectangular pan, and sprinkle sesame seeds around the edges of the crust. Mmmmmm!!
