Born in 1888, Dale Carnegie was one of the first professional motivational speakers. His seminal work, How to Win Friends and Influence People continues to be a best seller and the concepts within it are pretty much mandatory study for anyone in a management position. He died in 1955. The company which carries his name and legacy, however, lives on.
