A failed computer data tape standard based strictly on the DAT tape transport mechanism. Often confused with DDS, DATADAT allowed for the recording for up to 1GB of data on one 90m 4mm DAT tape. Due to the unreliable nature of the prosumer audio grade tapes that it used and the lesser capacity, DATADAT was quickly squelched by the DDS series of standards.
