Cred is good stuff. I guess it's short for credibility, or credit, but extends to kudos, good karma and accumulated goodwill. Cred comes in as many varieties as there are theatres of endeavour - from the obvious street cred and geek cred, to the ephemeral cat cred , and the nebulous hacker cred.
