Real name: Xavier Mosley. Best known for being one half (along with The Gift Of Gab) of Blackalicious, the mighty Bay Area hip hop force. Produces just about every Blackalicious track, and sometimes tracks for labelmates on Quannum Projects such as The Lifesavas. Chief Xcel is also one half (with Lateef The Truthspeaker) of The Maroons. In high school his DJ name was IceSki.
