A bassist, who debuted as a wee lad in the Haden Family country music band (TNG: daughters Petra and Rachel were in that dog; son Josh is in Spain). Earliest jazz gigs were in Ornette Coleman's 50's L.A. groups - he was the first of OC's great bassists. On his own, Haden formed the Vietnam War-era Liberation Music Orchestra (with Carla Bley) and wrote "Song for Che"; LMO has returned intermittently over the years. Haden's main gig now is in Quartet West.
