Costal county of Mid-Wales (also known as Ceredigion). Bordered by Pembrokeshire to the south-west, Carmarthenshire to the south-east, Montgomeryshire, Radnorshire and Brecknockshire to the east and Merionethshire to the north.

Principal towns include Cardigan, the university town of Lampeter, the university town and seaside resort of Aberystwyth
