A form of syllogism in scholastic logic. The name is from a medieval mnemonic poem, where its vowels reflect the syllogism's standard form of AEE-4.

All P are M. A - universal affirmative
No M are S. E - universal negative
Therefore, no S are P.  E - universal negative
