cost, insurance, freight: said of a price that include the cost of product, plus the insurance for the shipping, plus the cost of freight (that's to say, the seller would be organizing and paying insurance and freight, and including them in the quoted price). Nothing is said of import/export duties. If I understand correctly, FOB + insurance + freight - duties = c.i.f ; but maybe I do not understand correctly.
