CANDE is the mainstay of most (if not all) Unisys A-series and Clearpath programmers. It's nothing like those cool development interfaces on other platforms. This editor is stupid. You can execute some system commands from within it, compile from within it, but don't expect the world of it.
CANDE can edit COBOL74, COBOL85, WFL (Work Flow Language), text, and other assorted source code formats. Let me just sum up by saying that CANDE makes the MS-DOS editor look good.
