A low stand made from a light-weight wood used to hold a shime-daiko (a rope-tensioned Taiko drum) at an angle. The shime-daiko is held in a busho-dai to allow the musician to be seated while playing. The busho-dai is a sturdier and heavier form of a teren-dai.
