The Britannia Staff Union or BSU is the British Trades Union representing staff employed by the Britannia Building Society and its subsidiaries. Like a number of other finance sector trade unions it has evolved from a former staff association, inagurated as a union in 1972, obtaining its Certificate of Independence in 1976 and affiliating to the Trades Union Congress the following year.
