A great and towering variety of French brie, Brie de Meaux is considered to be the French cheese world's King of Kings.

In the nineteenth century, Brie de Meaux was widely celebrated as the finest cheese in all of Europe, in a large way due to the ambassadorial efforts of the greatest ever French diplomat Charles-Maurice de Talleyrand Périgord (1754-1832), who served it at his state dinners.

The interior pâté of the cheese is firm and compacted with consistent texture. The flavour of Brie de Meaux is creamy and subtly nutty. The soft white penicillin rind is like velvet.

Brie de Meaux is produced by Societe fromagere de la Brie, 19 Avenue du Grand Morin, 77169 Saint-Simeon, under AOC appelation, granted in the year 1985.
