bar offering
live blues music five nights a week, with both
regional and
national acts taking the stage. Located on
Grand Avenue (hence, the name of the place), it offers an
interesting place to go at night in an otherwise
dead downtown area. The music is
phenomenal, especially since one wouldn’t expect a place like
Des Moines to support a bar that doesn’t play
bad dance music. The
bar staff is as good as the music, and you have to appreciate a place where you can get a
great drink on top of
great music.
