Tricky's recording Black Steel is a cover of a song originally by rap group Public Enemy. The original's full name is Black Steel In The Hour Of Chaos, from the 1988 album It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back.

Rage Against The Machine have also covered the song together with Chuck D.
