The Black Powder Rebels are one of 9 factions in the miniatures wargame Mage Knight. They are comprised of former slaves of the Atlantean Empire, and are mostly dwarves and humans. These people formed a secret army using gunpowder and steam engine technology and used it to free themselves from Atlantis strip mines.
The odd thing about the Black Powder Rebels is the range of their technology. Some of their figures carry axes, swords, shields, and crossbows. Most Black Powder units use flintlock pistols and rifles for weaponry. A few Rebels, however, have outlandish armaments such as steam-powered iron steeds, chain guns, and steam engine golems. There is even a tank available for use to the Black Powder Rebel player.
