The
ice bridge that existed between where
Siberia and
Alaska are now. The gap is about 55 miles long, letting
Asians about 1300 years ago travel across, bringing themsleves and their technology to North America.
We can thank this bridge for giving us such
Canadian activites as
snowshoeing and advanced fur/
Winter weather design. Perhaps they even brought
Sorel boots with them.
