We don't know what happened to his Latino parents, but he can trill his R's well. (Servo5678 says Those "Latino" parents don't exist; the Latino name comes from the fact that he was manufactured in Mexico at Mom's Friendly Robot Factory.)

Also the namesake of the "Bender B. Rodriguez Orphanarium" on the show, after Bender adopts twelve children in exchange for twelve weekly $100 stipends from the government.
