A character created by San-X, in the same line as Tare Panda, Afro Ken, and others, but instead of a lazy panda, a dog with an afro, etc, Beer Chan is a beer fairy. Beer Chan has an extremely small, but its folllowing cannot be merely described as cult-like. It is much stronger, and fearsome. As shown by the Chibi (Small) beer chan example, San-X wishes to promote the practice of minors abstaining from beer until they are old enough, but once they are old enough, LOOK OUT! Beer Chan has been put on many different products, mainly plushies, or plush dolls. Beer Chan also appears on stickers, pens, mugs, and mini coolers.
