You will need
To make the chocolate sauce, simmer the double cream with a little sugar to taste.
Add vanilla essence.
Melt plain grated chocolate in a bowl over a pan of simmering water, then gradually stir into the cream, mixing well.
To assemble the dish, arrange slices of a banana in a circular fashion on one half of a pancake.
Fold the other half of the pancake over, revealing one layer of banana, then fold the pancake over once more to make a fan-shape.
Pour the hot chocolate sauce over the pancake and decorate with finely grated chocolate. Repeat.
