The Baha'i centre in Haifa, Israel contains an amazing garden, colloquially termed a (the?) "hanging garden". Haifa is a coastal city built on a big hill ; the gardens have been extended, and now cover a swath of land almost from the sea to the top of the hill. The effect is amazing; the Baha'i had to get special planning permission from Haifa municipality to extend the gardens; one main road now goes in a tunnel under the gardens.

Any religion with such amazing gardens (and not for proselytizing!) has got to be admired!

(This writeup originally lived under the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, until an editor suggested I move it elsewhere; this lets you downvote it twice!
