Abstract:
You are one of two street fighters, either Blade or Striker.  While you normally defeat a dozen baddies before breakfast, this time you're on a mission.  President Ronald Reagan (not kidding) has been kidnapped by Ninjas (again?) and you must save him, are you a bad enough dude?  Throughout the course of the game you battle a number of end-of-level bosses, not the least of which being Karnov, of Karnov fame.

Miscellaneous:
This game is also known as Bad Dudes vs. Dragon Ninja in the US. and Dragon Ninja in Japan

Technical
Uses Data East's HFT System hardware. The system consists of a DE-0295 or DE-0297 Main CPU PCB and a DE-0293 or DE-0299 Game Program PCB. The main CPU PCB utilizes a Motorola 68000 32-bit microprocessor to control the game functions and a 65C02A microprocessor to control the Yamaha sound generator circuit. The Game Program PCB contains all game specific program devices and a OKI voice generator circuit.

In the arcade version of the game, the demo mode starts out with a picture of the Bad Dudes standing next to each other(not looking very bad yet) and a view of New York city in the background. after a few seconds, the following message is typed over the top of the screen:

Rampant ninja related crimes these days... Whitehouse is not the exception...

after another few seconds, the Bad Dudes strike a fighting stance (oooh... you can see they're bad now!), and the bad dudes title replaces the text at the top. Then the game proceeds to its teaser demo loop.

upon feeding the machine a quarter and starting a game, you are given a brief by some (military/secret service, i guess) guy:

President Ronnie has been kidnapped by the ninjas. Are you a bad enough dude to rescue Ronnie?

Oh hell yeah, you bet I'm a bad enough dude! I can raise both arms above my head and shout I'M BAD!!!
