With Afrika Bambaataa and Soul Sonic Force, "Planet Rock" reinvented Kraftwerk for the hip-hop age, a cue that Kraftwerk themselves later took. Baker went on to the pop world, doing remixes for all and sundry, and worked on various soundtrack LPs.
