A diamond pattern found in clothing, especially socks. Associated with rich folk, golfing, private schools and smugly-worn sweater vests; 'preppy'. As with many textile patterns of that sort, it started out as a family's (the Scottish Campbells') tartan. There are two alternating colors of fill diamonds, and intersecting them is an outlined diamond pattern in a third color.
