A word from Frank Herbert's Dune series (I *think* Heretics of Dune, but I wouldn't swear to it), meaning "the cloud darkness at the end of the universe".

(Hey, it seemed a good idea when I was a teenager, and it just kind of stuck. I like it. :)

This would explain why it’s "the cloud darkness at the end of the universe".
