From Tolkien's The Silmarillion. The knife used by Beren Erchamion to cut a Silmaril from the crown of Morgoth deep in the mountain fortress of Angband, while Morgoth's court was unconcious due the enchantment of Lúthien Tinúviel. It broke after cutting only one Silmaril. The name literally means "Iron-Cleaver".
