Andy Dick has been in and out of therapy for sexual and chemical addictions since the early 1990s.
Disliked being described as bisexual in his 1997 TV Guide interview, but has acknowledged being about 90% heterosexual and 10% experimental.
Felt "Newsradio" (1995) died with Phil Hartman, but honored his contracted obligation to stay with the show for the final season. He didn't like working with Jon Lovitz during that last year.
Was one of the last people to see David Strickland alive as they binge drank in Las Vegas.
Has one son by his ex-wife and two children by Lina. Son of adoptive parents Allen and Sue (both deceased).
He grew up a Navy brat and his dad worked on a submarine.
Following their 1990 divorce, Andy Dick and his ex-wife continued to live together platonically for their son's benefit. They both entered long term relationships and eventually they, their son, her boyfriend, Andy's new girlfriend, and the two children the girlfriend had with Andy all shared the same home for many years.
He once appeared on Letterman seemingly high or drunk or something. He was on Craig Kilborn not too long ago claiming that he's been completely rehabilitated, but I saw something on Extra! claiming he got busted for cocaine possession recently. Oh well, who knows.
