Amy Quan Barry

Amy Quan Barry is an assistant professor at University of Wisonsin-Madison. She was born in Saigon during the Vietnam War and came to the United States when she was six months old. She grew up in South Boston, MA.

She is the winner of numerous prizes and fellowships, including the 2000 Agnes Lynch Starrett Poetry Prize from the University of Pittsburgh Press, which resulted in the publication of her book, Asylum. Asylum was published in the fall of 2001, and includes poems about the country of her birth--Vietnam--and other things as well.
