AFAIK, and IMHO, this is visible in every facet of American society. OTOH, the USMIL is particularly prone to advanced cases of this disorder. Pilots, from the ASEL level up, are vulnerable. Of course, YMMV. Early symptoms include ACR, poor PSAT/NMSQT scoring, and fascination with TV.
