New Jack City. An intrical part of the plot of this movie is two best friends starting out in the 80's as small time
drug-dealing and
gangsta entrepreneurs and gradually becoming rich and successful with
the introduction of crack to the streets and their embracing the business it provided them.
This line was exchanged between them toward the beginning when they were still
level headed and close; the response was 'yes I am' accompanied by smiles and hugs.
Towards the end of the flick, when money was starting to drive Nino a little crazy and
power-happy, the line was repeated again. This time it resulted in Nino's tearful response of 'yes I am' right before
shooting his crack-addicted bro in the head.
