A character for the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament. Ahlai is listed in the genealogy of the tribe of Judah. Most translations describe Ahlai as male, the "son of Sheshan" (1 Chronicles 2:31), but the text decribes Sheshan as have only daughters, and he gave his daughter in marriage to his Egyptian servant Jarha, Genesis 2:34-38, so it likely that Ahlai is actually a she. She is likely the grandmother of Zabad who fought in David's armies.
