According to some forms of apocrypha, Adam had three wives.

The first was Lilith. She was created with, and as part of, Adam. They were back-to-back, and God split them as part of Creation. The problem is that Lilith felt she was then equal to Adam. When she woudln't act subservient to Adam, she was expelled from the Garden and went on to spawn demons.

Adam's second wife was never named. God created her as a replacement for Lilith. First He sculpted her bones, then muscle and blood and snot and organs, the finally her skin. However, Adam was so repulsed by seeing her innards that he woudln't touch her. So she was expelled as well. However, we know nothing about her fate.

Last, and certainly not least, was Eve. To create her, God put Adam to sleep, and removed a rib, and used that as a foundation for Eve. And the rest, as they say, is history. (Or myth.)
