A British educator who founded a famous school called Summerhill and wrote a series of controversial books and articles arguing that freedom was necessary for children. He (like Bertrand Russell) was widely despised for his views on sexual freedom, because he refused to believe in a priori moral rules constraining a child's sexual development or sexual relationships. He tried to apply the techniques of the psychologist to deconstruct and refute social prejudices.
