4 Non Blondes was an American rock band, active from 1989 to 1994. A classic example of a one-hit wonder, they are remembered today solely for their 1993 megahit song "What's Up?," which went to number 1 on the charts in a number of countries around the world although it only got as high as 14 in their native United States.

The name of the band was derived from the band's original, all female lineup consisting of bassist Christa Hillhouse, guitarist Shaunna Hall, drummer Wanda Day, and vocalist Linda Perry, none of whom were blonde. After the band's breakup, Perry would go on to have a successful career as a backup vocalist and later producer for a host of female pop stars, including Pink, Christina Aguilera, and Gwen Stefani.
