Multi-level version of chess. Consists of 3 4x4 boards and a number of 2x2 secondary boards. Captain Kirk and Spock played it. And there is also a table in Ten Forward on the Enterprise-D with a game.
The game was used by Kirk and his crew as the base for a security code to prevent imposters assuming the identy of the senior staff. The code was: queen to queen's level 3 the appropriate response is: qeen to king's level 1.
There are no official rules know, but fans have developed a number of their own rules.
One of the pieces resembles the robot from Lost in Space.
