1910 Fruitgum Company was a popular American pop band from 1965–1970. They are pretty squarely in the category of bubblegum pop (their label, Buddah Records, referred to them as "bubblegum superjam"), and had a number of hits on Billboard's Hot 100: Simon Says, May I Take A Giant Step, 1, 2, 3, Red Light, Goody Goody Gumdrops, Indian Giver, Special Delivery, and The Train.

Their music was both fun and upbeat, but with a good dose of kitsch, alternating fairly normal love songs with songs based on children's games and candy. This was not unusual -- they were in good company with The Archies and Ohio Express.

While they very much fit the cultural category of 'oldies', they are good fun and good music. I recommend giving them a listen; their most popular hit, Simon Says, is an excellent place to start.
