  • Egyptian pharaoh Hapshepsut dies under mysterious circumstances, perhaps eliminated by her stepson Thutmose III, who succeeds her as pharaoh. Hoping the change in leadership is a sign of Egyptian weakness, the Canaanites rise in revolt against Egyptian hegemony.
