In Linux (and whatever else; don't fuck with me!), this directory contains variable data, which means it can and will all change constantly. Standard subdirectories of /var (at least on a Red Hat distro):

del.icio.us Furl Facebook Digg StumbleUpon Reddit   (I like it!)
