'N Sync is a
bubblegum pop boy band consisting of
Chris Kirkpatrick,
JC Chasez,
Joey Fatone,
Justin Timberlake, and
Lance Bass. The band name comes from the last letters of the members names (including Lance's nickname, Lansten).
They're often accused of lip-syncing at concerts. Their fan-base consists primarily of young girls, and they're generally hated by everybody else because of this and the fact that they're manufactured. I like many of their songs, because I'm not horribly bigoted against manufactured, or popular, bands, judging music solely on the music.
They appeared on Sesame Street in 2000 or 2001 singing Believe in Yourself. I prefer the original, sung by Gordon.
I think the actual name is *N Sync but it's generally written 'N Sync.
