Would you believe that SPAM prompted my visit here this time? Yep, for some reason there were loads of spam to my sms-e2 mailbox. So, this time after about 8 months from my last visit, I came to change the email address on my home node. Anyway, here are some other things I did and noticed:

went through all the /msgs (more than 20)
sadly clicked through the messages (more than 5) from anonymous writeups killers and some from sid
updated typo on node_id

Some of my thoughts while noding this ...

E2 looks very familiar after more than half a year
it seems to be slightly faster than I remembered ;-)

I was working on my sabre23t.blogsite.org, when I finally decided to update the lists of my online "teh tarik" hangouts. Sadly, have to relegate E2 to my "occassional hangouts" list. That prompted a visit here after another long while, almost 9 months this time. Anyway, here are some of the things I did and noticed this time around:

went through all the /msgs (more than 40)
sadly many of the messages (more than 30) were from anonymous writeups killers, though I do appreciate ones from sid who is willing to be seen nuking them
noticed AYAQ 112 The Unity has changed to Surah namespace
followed up on the /msg requests for changes to my old nodes; E2 Search (remove links to empty nodes), Quran (updated links)
read about "Do not create or add to subjective 'list' nodes", certainly useful if I'm going to do more noding

Today after a long while, more than 5 months, I was prompted to visit E2 by a posting in ODP internal forum. Anyway, here are some of the things I did and noticed:

went through all the /msgs and followed up on the request for all the changes to my old nodes
sadly most of the messages were from klaproth, did go visit node heaven just to see what I didn't write that caused them to be disposed, many are just too brief
happily see that many of the klaproth messages are no long anonymous, I could have asked sid why, if I needed to
see that the writeup headers have now loads more information, how long since the writer was here, that's neat
noticed ariels liked one of my writeups, read her rant, do empathize

Another of those days when I come avisiting to this place that brings fond memories. Though it is a bit sad to see what klaproth is doing to some of my older blabbings.

I managed to clear up all the outstanding messages regarding some of my writeups from ages ago, including E2 Caste System or Cool Noders, Think, E2 URL Policy and a few others I forget to archive.

And of course, update my home node to confirm the fact that I find myself doing less noding here, but more editing on ODP or even Wikipedia. However, feel free to ICQ or email me if something great is happening and I really should rush back here. ;-}

Today I threw in my resignation letter. It's a three month notice. What a relief. Now looking forward to the new place.

They are having IAP this week in my neck of the woods and also the associated multimedia expo. I'll try to visit them tomorrow.

It has been a long while. Last visited on June 29, 20001. Some cleaning up to old nodes had to be done: Star Alliance and Is there a way to view a list of all the users registered on E2?. Pity, Everything User Directory is now temporarily closed.

I notice some nice new E2 features appearing. The E2 Scratch Pad leads to dissapearance of my old nodes like sabre23t: Notes. That Klaproth guy, was really busy. The multi C! and the full reputation not just net reputation are also nice.

Okay, what else did I miss while I'm gone? ;-}
