This is a found poem from my econometrics class, taught by Korean professor Dr. Ahn at Arizona State University). Econometrics is basically a cross between statistics and economics. Each line is something he actually said during lecture over the course of about three class periods.

	Regression

Compute, manipulatethe data set
 the world
But that's a standard error.
Why I'm talking about this?
	That's very simple.
I would like to know
	The Individual Case.
I can always make a mistake, even if I know.
	Another thing is this one:
How much you regress if varying.
	I do not know
	You cannot blame me.
	Try to stabilize.
Get out of this recession.
I would like to know specifically
The lower bound and the upper bound-
The confidence interval of the individual case.
	The formula changes
	Everything is going together.
	That's the problem.
What do you reject?

My great-grandmother was a cook for the Swedish king. Family tradition says this was one of his favorite breakfasts. It's a big hit at my house as well.

Ingredients

1/2 liter cranberry juice

1/4 liter water

1 dl. cream of wheat (NOT INSTANT!)

1/3 cup sugar (or to taste)

1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

Mix cranberry juice and water in a pan. Bring to boil.

Whip in cream of wheat.

Stir constantly, 10 minutes if regular cream of wheat, 2 1/2 minutes if quick-cooking cream of wheat. THIS WILL NOT WORK WITH INSTANT CREAM OF WHEAT!

Add vanilla and sugar to taste.

Whip with beaters until approximately double in size, as light pink in color as you can get it. (About 5-10 minutes.)

Serve in bowls of milk (it floats), or just plain, hot or cold. Even if you don't like cream of wheat (which I understand!) try this recipe. It's very good.

Ingredients:

1 cup chopped nuts

1 cup white sugar

1/2 cup butter

3 teaspoons water

Instructions

Put nuts into bottom of square pan.

Turn stove to top heat. In heavy skillet put water, sugar, butter. Stir constantly with a wooden spoon until it is the color of peanut brittle. If you do not stir constantly, it will scorch. The timing is very important, all at once it will go from not done (carmalized) to done, and then very quickly to over-done. Pay attention!

Remove from heat immediately and pour over nuts. It will get hard as it cools, so you must have the pan of nuts ready.
Cool 5 minutes and sprinkle with chocolate chips. The chocolate will melt, then use the back of a spoon to spread the chocolate over the top.

Enjoy, particularly at Christmas time.

So you want to impress your friends with home-made pizza? But you didn't plan ahead to let the dough rise for 2 hours? Here's the quick and dirty way to make fast dough (legal in most states).

Ingredients:

1 cup warm water

1 teaspoon sugar

2 teaspoons active dry yeast

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons oil

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon sugar

Add 1 teaspoon sugar to the warm water and stir. Sprinkle the yeast on top of the
water and stir again. Let sit for about 5 minutes. The yeast should kind of foam up and start to smell yeasty. If nothing happens in about 10 minutes, the yeast is probably dead (you murderer!) Try a different package of yeast and start again.

Now you have two choices on how to mix the dough. The first is more effective, but if you lack certain tools (such as a food processor), the second way works, too.

Option1:

In the food processor (with the steel knife blade)…
