Meta-Moderate (idea)

No longer a Slashdot-only idea as many large sites are using meta-moderation. Gamefaqs a site dedicated to video game guides now uses it to help keep tabs on the moderators.

Of course the tabs are a joke when 99 percent of the people don't know the real terms of service but it's a good idea to help keep the masses from realizing that they really don't have a say.

More sites will start to do this if they have unique forum systems. I don't believe the predominate bulletin board system, PHPBB2 has yet acquired this idea yet nor will it. Though it does have merits if actually listened to, there is no way to know if it really is listened to.

Significant Other (idea)

Meaning: Boyfriend, girlfriend, special friend, slut, whore, boy toy, gigolo, lover, dear, wife, husband, pimp, hot babe, master, slave, girl I score with, guy Iâm shacking up with, and so many more.

Instead of choosing one of these terms to say you can easily say significant other. Assume you meet a man on the street give him two free tickets for something and say "Why don't you take your girlfriend?" "Umm I'm married" "I'm gay" and other lines kind of ruin the moment in our Politically Correct society.

The way that we have come up with this is to say "significant other" a way to just say "who ever you want to bring who's special to you." It's considered the most politically correct term and actually is used more often then those other terms that people try to push on others. anime vs manga (idea)

There are four cases that tend to be considered in this decision for any person who truly wants to enjoy Japanese entertainment. Obviously it can be easily answered if you don't want to read the book, the dubbed anime is for you, of course I will assume you want to either have Japanese anime (subtitled or not) and manga (translated or not). I expect you to take into account "availability" or price already. I would never buy a thousand dollar anime if I can have the manga for ten dollars.

In case your wondering, anime is just animated pictures, similar to American cartoons, though of higher quality and for all ages. Manga is similar to comic books, but in japan manga is widely accepted and read by all ages.

Rockstar (thing)

Rockstar refers to two different companies. The first and main company is Rockstar Games which was started as a joint venture of Sam Houser, Terry Donovan, Dan Houser, Jamie King, and Gary Foreman in 1998. Rockstar Games is the publishing division of the company. The second company is Rockstar Studios or Rockstar North, which is the programming division of Rockstar.

Rockstar Games was founded in 1998 in Manhattan, New York. Take2 Interactive now owns Rockstar Games. Rockstar has expanded to two offices. Grand Theft Auto: London 1969 was released on May 1, 1999. Grand Theft Auto: London 1969 was designed by Runecraft and published by Rockstar. While Grand Theft Auto had succeeded at creating a small fan base, the game was largely criticized for having "NES graphics".

Grand Theft Auto London was more of an add-on then a completely different game. This is also compounded by it being the first "upgrade" for a console game since Sonic and Knuckles lock-on technology. Grand Theft Auto: London 1969 for the Playstation required Grand Theft Auto's original disk to run, otherwise Grand Theft Auto: London was worthless.

The graphics of Grand Theft Auto: London can remind players of the old NES graphics. Most of the system was sprite based though they tend to use many more then the original NES cartridges could.
