I have devoted a considerable portion of my recent time investigating where my ideas come from and from what small crack or fissure they bubble. Clearly not using any serious psychological method other than just noting them when they occur. Below is a genuine and recent event in my life that I have delicately embellished and garnished with my own pretentious ruminations.

Perhaps Iâm not particularly creative. Actually, throughout my life, Iâve had a number of people tell me so directly, with little hesitation. Alas, for many years, I have resonated with the notion that the ignition of valued inspiration did represent the same wet, slippery salmon that I could never clasp between my hands when I went fishing with my dad. What is radon and why is it important?

Radon is a gas, which obviously sounds fairly innocent, however, itâs radioactive and can cause significant biological damage if chronic exposure occurs. Radon is also a member of the so called ânobleâ gasses which simply means that under standard conditions it has very low chemical reactivity. The problem is that this isnât relevant with regards to its radioactivity. The main health effect associated with radon exposure is an increased risk of lung cancer. Cormac McCarthy (originally named Charles after his father) is an award winning American writer, known for a number of novels including Blood Meridian, All The Pretty Horses, No Country For Old Men, and The Road. Many of his works have been critically praised and he has won both the Pulitzer Prize and the U.S. National Book Award.

Born in Rhode Island on July 20, 1933, McCarthy was raised in a Roman Catholic setting, moving a number of times as his family followed his father's employment. Initially, he read liberal arts at the University of Tennessee before joining the U.S. Air Force for a number…
