1978 IFBB's Mr. Universe, Mike Mentzer is one of the most fondly remembered people in the sport of bodybuilding.

He began bodybuilding when he was 12 years old.

In the 1970's, while people like Arnold Schwarzenegger were touting the Joe Weider method of building muscle (training every day, at least two hours a day, with 9-12 sets of exercises per body part), Mentzer was experimenting with High Intensity Training.

He was one of the first, along with Arthur Jones, to propose a methodical, scientific approach to training and gaining muscle.

Dry skin (thing)

Dry skin is a problem of the epidermis which manifests itself in the following symptoms:

* "Cracked", whitish skin

* Sensitivity to touch

* Itching (which later produces redness and may lead to infection)

Possible causes:

* Staying too long in hot water (more than 10-15 minutes)

* Lack of humidity in your environment

* Air conditioning (even more during the winter)

* Bathing or showering too often

* Bad nutrition

* Scrubbing too strongly

* Old age

* Diabetes

* Kidney problems

* Minor causes: Not drinking enough water (debatable), smoking.

* Water heavy on the pH. Particularly bad for swimmers and other water-related activities.

Possible Solutions:

The sooner you realize you have dry skin and begin to treat it, the better. Usually it may not be necessary to go to a doctor unless the skin becomes red or has red spots in it, or the itch interferes with your normal activities or sleep.…

Los Aterciopelados (person)

Los Aterciopelados is a Colombian-born band.

Originally called Delia Y Los Aminoacidos, the two founders (bassist-loop-programmer-guitarist-chorus Hector Buitrago and ultra skinny lead singer Andrea Echeverri) played in various bars of Bogotá for two years, and then changed their name to Aterciopelados.

In 1993 they launched their first record Con el Corazón en la Mano, which had moderate success in Colombia.

However, their first real breakthrough would come with their cd El Dorado, released a year later, which had less punk and more rock, and gave them such hits as Bolero Falaz and Florecita Rockera.

Thanks to this record they began touring all Latin America.

After their successful tour they released Pipa de la Paz in 1996, and in the same year recorded an Unplugged show for MTV.

1998 saw the release of Caribe Atómico, a more experimental cd with a lot of electronic sound influence.

Cafe Tacuba (person)

Café Tacuba took their name from a famous bar in the poorer portions of Mexico City called (suprise!) Café Tacuba. On October 29th 2002, Café Tacuba released the EP "Vale Callampa", where they pay tribute to the Chilean bolero trio "Los Tres". Los Tres is one of the most respected trios in the history of Latin music, and thus, Café Tacuba handles the songs with audible respect, but still manage to create a quality album.

For this project, their lead singer named himself Rita Cantalagua.

The 4 songs in this EP are Dejate Caer, Olor a Gas, Amor Violento, and Tírate.

A NURBS based 3d modelling program for Windows, created by Robert McNeel & Associates.

Quickly becoming a major player in the 3d modelling field (which includes other programs such as Nendo, FormZ and even MilkShape), Rhino stands out because of its speed(it runs on a plain windows machine without needing any extra hardware), compatability with all other design/drafting/CAD programs, accuracy, robustness and low price(when compared to other apps of the kind).

Despite being a relatively new modelling application, it has already helped create many succesful "real world" products, such as the Nokia 5510, The NOMAD MP3 Jukebox, The Philips Integris Allura(for cardiovascular imaging) and the "First true american supercar", the 2001 Saleen S7.
